Error: The current model includes a locked published file

Issue

You received the following error message when you tried to resave a locked NWD file:

The current model includes a locked published file. You are not allowed to publish it.
Solution

You cannot resave a locked file. In order to resave the file, you will need to revert to an earlier version of the locked file before it was locked.

Note: Verify that the May be Resaved check box is selected in the Publisher dialog box.

NWDOUT command does not work in AutoCAD

You were using a computer that has both NavisWorks and AutoCAD® installed. However, when you entered NWDOUT on the command line in AutoCAD, the NavisWorks Exporter did not work.

Solution

The NWDOUT command in AutoCAD may not work if you installed AutoCAD after NavisWorks was installed or you upgraded to a newer version of AutoCAD. In either case, you can resolve the issue by manually installing the exporter:

1. Click Start menu > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select the appropriate version of NavisWorks from the list of currently installed programs.
4. Click the Change/Remove button.
5. Click Add or Remove Features.
6. Select the AutoCAD plug-in option for the version of AutoCAD that you have installed, and then click Next.
7. Follow the prompts to install the appropriate plug-in.
